Amy and I met while at San Jose State University, where we both played volleyball. After college we moved to San Diego and got married in 1994. Since then we have had two children who have been growing up too quickly but are able to join in more of our backpacking adventures now. Amy and I dream of being able to to take a break from the work life and hike the PCT. Obviously that won’t happen until the kids head off to college. Until then we continue to take week long trips into the Sierras to disconnect from the hectic world most of us live in.
